The media launch was held on Tuesday, 23 December 2025, at the NRSA Accra Regional Office in Ridge, Accra, and brought together representatives from both institutions and members of the media to highlight the urgent need for sustained road safety awareness and behaviour change among road users.
Road traffic crashes remain a major public safety concern in Ghana, often linked to speeding, reckless driving, driver fatigue, inattention, and non-compliance with traffic regulations. While enforcement and infrastructure improvements are important, public awareness and responsible individual behaviour remain central to reducing road accidents.
The Safe Drive Campaign addresses this need through high-visibility outdoor safety signage placed along key highways, including the Accra - Kumasi and Accra - Tarkwa corridors. The signage delivers simple, memorable messages that encourage motorists to stay alert, exercise patience, obey traffic rules, and drive responsibly.
For ZEN Petroleum Limited, the Safe Drive Campaign reflects its broader commitment to safety, service excellence, and sustainable growth. The campaign reflects a shared belief by ZEN Petroleum and the NRSA that road safety is a collective responsibility, requiring collaboration between public institutions, the private sector, the media, and individual road users.
Through sustained visibility and consistent messaging, the Safe Drive Campaign is expected to increase public awareness, reinforce positive driving behaviour, support national road safety efforts, and contribute to long-term reductions in road traffic incidents.
